The Bruce Longmore Scholarship is for students who are completing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the University of Waikato (Tauranga or Hamiton Campus) in the fields of Marine Science, Environmental Science or Ecology and Biodiversity. Students must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study and have proven academic ability and show a clear passion and future commitment to their chosen field. Applicants will be passionate about their community and able to provide examples of support and involvement in their local community or field of interest.
Aim and Benefits
The Scholarship has a total value of $5,000 and will be tenable for a maximum of one year.
Requirements
The applicant must:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the fields of Marine Science, Environmental Science or Ecology and Biodiversity;
- Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study;
- Be continuing their studies at the University of Waikato, Tauranga or Hamilton Campus; and
- Be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand.
