The College of Nursing and Health Sciences has established Honours Scholarships to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students undertaking an Honours research project in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University. The purpose of the scholarships is to build Honours engagement and research across all disciplines in the College.
Aim and Benefits
Subject to the availability of funds, there will be six annual scholarships up to the value of $1,250 each. Usually, no more than two scholarships will be available per Honours program within the College.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have commenced or are commencing the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours), or the honours program of either the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or the Bachelor of Speech Pathology, in the year of the award; and
- Have, as their principal supervisor, a staff member of, or a holder of full academic status in, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences; and
- Not be a current Flinders University academic staff member.
Interview date, Process and Venue
The scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit. Results achieved for the most recent 36 units of study at third year level will take precedence, over other factors. If necessary, grades for individual topics may be used to rank students with identical GPAs. Selection will be made by a Selection Committee comprising the Honours Coordinators of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Dean (Education) or delegate.
